    Over at the Bellagio one of 2012's biggest success stories Antonio Esfandiari seems intent on making himself yet another piece of poker history as he leads the field for a second successive day the the DBFDPC and is on the cusp of making his third straight final table in this prestigious tournament - and looking for his second win here in just three years. As we head into Day 5 Esfandiari sits on 1.597 million chips, a little over 300k ahead of fellow former WPT winner Shawn Buchanan.

    What a year it's been so far for "The Magician" Antonio Esfandiari - not only did he win the biggest tournament the world has ever seen "All in for One Drop" for a staggering $18.3 million back at this years WSOP but he also won another bracelet just a couple of months ago at the WSOPE. Now he's back at one of his favourite haunting grounds, the DBFDC and ends day three as a big chip leader with 918k chips, almost 300k above his nearest rival, Freddy Deeb.

    Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi Leads Day 2 of Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Classic

    With Day 2 of the "DBFDC" in the books the day ended with current (and two time) WSOP $50k Players Championship Winner Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi as chip leader, holding on to 272.6k chips. Mizrachi is enjoying a stellar year with 4 WSOP final tables (including the $1.4m first prize in the $50k) as well as a third place in WPT World Champs this May for $424k. With the big turnout at this event this year the winner can look forward to a seven figure paycheck - this would be a fine way for Mizrachi to cap an excellent 2012.

    This was the biggest live tournament ever held in Canada with a starting field of 1.173 players and for the first time WPT was hosted in Montreal. After four days of play it was time for the final 6 players to battle about the title and a 1st prize of $784.101.
