Alex "Alexonmoon" Luneau is a French high stakes professional currently residing in London. He specialises in playing draw games (in particularly 2-7 triple draw) and mixed games. He can be seen playing heads-up or in the ring games at the highest stakes on Full Tilt.
Alex started his poker career with a $5 deposit in 2007 and has never had to look back since. He quickly turned that into $15,000 through NLHE cash games within a few months and by the end of 2008, he was playing $25/$50 NLHE. He started playing PLO in August 2009 and mixed/limit games in December 2009.
He is very good friends with Seb "Seb86" Sabic who also lives in London. They focused a lot of time on the draw games before they became popular at the nosebleed stakes and Alex can now be seen sitting at the tables for hours without getting much action because of the reputation he has gained.
His decision to leave France was because of the high tax on poker there and if he wanted to keep playing high stakes and mixed games, .com poker sites do not run in France. There is no tax on poker winnings in London which makes it ideal for him and its just a short journey from France. For more about this player, read our interview with Alex Luneau.
