Erik1223 has been active at the high stakes Full Tilt tables since the site's re-opening. The player's account is registered in Sweden and it has been active since we started tracking the site in late 2006. The account was used up until August 2008 playing limit and no-limit games, the latter as high as $200/$400. The account was not seen active again until the re-opening of Full Tilt more than four years after it was last used.
There is a lot of speculation in the forums as to who the player behind the account is with many believing it is none other than Erik Sagström. He was documented to play under the screen name DIN_FRU on Full Tilt which was from November 2008 so it is very likely that he has gone back to using an earlier screen name of his.
Erik1223 has been seen playing the high stakes limit games like 2-7 triple draw and Omaha Hi/Lo which is what DIN_FRU also played. Sagstrom plays as Erik123 on some of the Euro sites which is another similarility between the accounts. Sauce123 and calvin7v discussed in chat that they both believe that Erik1223 is the infamous Erik Sagström. If this is the case, it may be very hard for the Swede to find some action as he is regarded by his peers as one of the best players in the world. It is well documented that he used to crush the games on the Euro sites and was regarded as one of the best LHE players in the world.
