moirhums
Part of the new wave of highly aggressive and highly successful French pro's Romain "moirhums" Arnaud plays regularly at PokerStars in the highstakes PLO and NLHE games. Adept at both ring games and heads up play moirhums began playing poker in early 2007 playing NL10. He quickly realised that he had a talent at the game and by mid 2007 had built a roll in excess of $10,000 and took a shot at NL1000. Since then he has never looked back and can be seen regularly playing stakes as high as $100/$200 PLO against the best in the world.
By 2010 Romain decided to quite his medical studies in order to pursue poker full time, initially concentrating solely on HU and 6 max NLHE games from NL1000 upwards. In 2011 moirhums has concentrated primarily on improving his PLO game, with mixed results. However, it seems that he has turned a corner of sorts as since August 2011 he has started to climb out of the $300k hole he dug for himself in the first half of the year and has played some fascinating sessions with seasoned PLO players Gavin "gavz101" Cochrane and Brian "aba20" Townsend where moirhums has more than held his own and in fact profited from both players. Also, moirhums biggest hand of 2011 so far was played out during one of his HU matches with aba20 where aba's flopped boat was beaten on the turn and played for stacks on the river in this $97k pot.
Romain, 26 currently lives in London, England and has been part of the the famed French coaching collective "Team Limpers" where he has contributed several NLHE training videos to the site http://www.limpers.com . Romain lists his most admired players as Phil Ivey, Daniel "jungleman12" Cates, and Phil "MrSweets28" Galfond.
