psychobenny on Full Tilt Poker
German pro Benjamin "Benny" Spindler is the player behind the PokerStars screen name "toweliestar". Spindler also known as "psychobenny" on Full Tilt, started online gaming (as did many other successful online players) as a Starcraft player before moving into the far more lucrative world of online poker playing at the micro limits in 2006. Spindler quickly established himself as a force to be reckoned with as he rose through the levels to play in the highest games available online.
Also an accomplished tournament player, Spindler has placed in many high buy-in online events, including winning the SCOOP $25k HU Championship in 2009 for $310k. He also has nearly $2 million in live poker tournament winnings (in fact that figure is actually closer to $3 million as although he only officially took $1.1 million for his 3rd place finish in the 2009 PCA it is well documented that a deal had been struck when play was four handed and Spindler was the big chip leader giving him $2 million of the prize pool).
2011 was a good year for Spindler as he took 316,000 Euros for his second place finish in the 25,000 Euro High Roller event at the EPT Grand Final in Madrid. Then he went on to win two EPT titles within 6 weeks over the summer and earned himself $1.8 million dollars in the process. Benny has made more than $3,2 Million playing live tournaments.
